Good Morning,
I have booked our trip to Virgin Gorda and it seems to be a bit of a challenge to get there from STT. We are arriving Tuesday in STT and spending the night. I think the best way to get there will be taking the ferry from Charlotte Amalia to Road Town then on to VG. We have not cleared customs in Road Town so I am curious as to how difficult that is? We usually arrive in West End but the ferry service from there doesn't go to VG when we need it.
I check into water taxi, and flying from STT to VG but man it's pretty pricey. So I guess my main question is how easy is it to clear customs in Road Town and get on the ferry to VG?
Coming back we need to ferry from VG to Road Town, grab a taxi to West End then on to ST. John where we are spending a week.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

As for customs, we just cleared mid week and wasn’t busy and went pretty quick. Make sure you do the online (fairly new) customs form.

Yeah, you are right on. It's a bit of a pain, but unless you are willing to pay (the significantly more expensive price) of a water taxi or private flight, this is your best option.

If you are thinking about flying, reach out to Island Birds about a private charter, might be cheaper than a private water taxi.

Customs depends on the day. Make sure you do everything you can to be first off the boat and first in line!!!

Thanks for the help. We are traveling on a Wednesday so shouldn't be too bad. I checked Island Birds and it was surprisingly cheaper than a water taxi, but still well over $1000. I think we will just relax and enjoy our day traveling on the ferries.

Try leaving on a Saturday. Speedys has a non stop ferry. Stt to VG leaves at 4

They said their trip is booked.
