Hello there I have never visited the island of Aruba......have always travelled to Sint Maartens instead. The draw to sxm is food, and live entertainment, as well as beautiful beaches. If I would like to travel to Aruba, what area do you experienced with Aruba, feel would be a similar fit? Love beaches, love nightlife, and certainly, never do an All inclusive as I do not like them
Any tips, suggestions, etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I have to say that it has been a LONG time since we've stayed there, but we spent our honeymoon on Eagle Beach, at Manchebo Beach Resort. We returned a few times after our honeymoon, as they gave us a card for one free night during the same dates. Used it several times, but not recently. Unfortunately it is now a really high class resort apparently, so would be pretty expensive. It's on Eagle Beach, which is a HUGE wide beach. Link to Manchebo

Never stayed on Palm Beach and been a while since we've been to Aruba. Offhand, I think I would compare it to Simpson Bay beach, pretty busy.

Palm Beach had much much more going on than Eagle Beach, back in the before time. There are larger more expansive properties right on the beach with a small shopping area behind the large resorts.
Around suppertime, all chaise longues are stored, and fine dining begins with toes in the sand as sunset sails dust the horizon. Menus were LED. Its exquisite.
I stayed in an airbnb with a pool in the centre of a handful of garden suites and cant comment on the resorts or the many casinos at Palm Beach.
One caveat...i disagree with Conde nasts long ago best carib beach...its very windy with sharp coral biting your scalp,/face, you need to defend yourself from the ongoing assult of the sharp coral.
If you make it to southern part of island...look up Charlies Pub and that Flinstones bar at the very southern tip.
Have fun.
