For the last couple of months there has been no sargassum. Suddenly this week it has reappeared. Not the worst I have ever seen it, but accumulating in places, depending on the wind and current direction.

We are on Camanoe too and its like it appeared overnight!
Hope its not an indicator of whats to come .

"Looking ahead: Sargassum amount in most regions is set to increase in the coming month [March]. The W Caribbean and the windward side of the Lesser Antilles will continue to see beaching events. Sargassum amount in the Gulf will remain low. Because of the continuous growth from November to February and because of the record-high Sargassum amount in most regions, 2026 is set to be another major Sargassum year (i.e., Sargassum amount exceeds 75% of the historical values)."

Sargassum started to accumulate here at Cow Wreck Beach last night. There is a steady stream of it passing by, so it will probably continue to build.
