I just saw on Facebook that Ivan Chinnery of Ivan's Stress Free Bar passed today. If so, Jost will never be the same. Such great memories and such a great man. Enjoy your memories and life and trips to the BVI as it's changing fast.

Very sad..he as been unwell for a while..I believe Parkinsons...I still miss the other legendary Chinnery..Ruben.

The first time we went to Jost we stumbled into Ivan's by chance. We ended up really preferring that end of the beach and Ivan's to the busy side and Soggy Dollar. Definitely the passing of a legend.

We never met Ivan, sadly…same with Seddy…just bad timing each visit…We know through others how well-loved Ivan was and how much of a mark he left on the island…
We too miss Ruben…We loved listening to him while staying at the HI. We only have one CD left after sharing with friends…

Ivan's was also my favorite end of the beach had the pleasure of meeting him twice back in 2008 and 2010 when true honor bar he had his little note book on the bar and was very lenient and also he enjoyed his bbqs; when times were good https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18GtW91rRz/
