I am showing Scrub Island overnight dockage rates with resort fee for our '50 mono hull charter in Feb at $350 per night. Do I get 10% ownership of the island plus future stock shares for that price?

Yeah, in Feb. 2025 we paid a total of $403 at Scrub for a 42 foot cat, including $120 for electricity.

The Bitter End came out to $338. I don't have a record for Peter Island, but I'm sure it was a lot.

If memory serves, I think Leverick Bay was the least expensive of the four marinas we stayed at, but again I don't have a record.

Our first time on a cat, and they certainly hit you harder on price than for a mono. Then again, we also got to split it more ways among those aboard.

If you want to explore Scrub island you are better off booking a stay there either before or after your boat trip. It’s more cost effective.

It seems like they use to give a TTOL discount back when we chartered boats with hard-shelled dinghies and the boats still had refrigerators with one hour, wind-up timers on them.

Is there still a charter bare-boat service out of Scrub?

I believe there is now a company with crewed boats based there - but things change all the time. What is your reason for going there? You can moor at Marina Cay, eat at Scrub and snorkel Diamond Reef.

We sail the Sir Francis Drake Channel once or twice a year. About every other time, we dock at Scrub Island for the night. I just don't remember the price being $300-$400. The Marina Cay > ferry over / swim, etc / is a good idea. I'll check on that price. thx

SCRUB S crub...Marina Cay is a gem and anchoring is free!

If you know the right people, you can get permission to use the private dock on Diamond Reef.

How is a visitor supposed to “know the right people”??

I don't think the dock had been rebuilt last time we were there. How large a boat can this private dock accommodate RW?! 🤔🙂 And do you accept PIK in lieu of mooring fees... Gin perhaps or spare parts for that land rover of yours 🙂

The long wood dock was not replaced; the property is now listed for $12 million. The low, L-shaped concrete dinghy dock has had extensive, read expensive, repairs. The Land Rover is in good shape, and now has a companion, a four-door yellow Jimny. The latter runs all season on a single tank of gas, and has power steering, a-c, and lane-keeping assist!

In this case, Manpot is correct. Those not on TTOL would be unlikely to be given permission.

When you join TTOL as I did many years ago I found out ,over time, rum ,beers and adventures that you meet the right people and make longlasting friendships and connections..not a bad thing..folks who pay it forward ..makes ,in a small way, for a better world.

Yea just like Belinda and I would leave wine, beer, and food at your CRC front door as we left Sebastian’s Villas to return home.👍
