left boston at 5:50 a.m. on charter for sxm. arrived on time at 10:15---love early arrival,hate 3 a.m. wakeup! cleared immigration in 5 minutes + found leslie from kennys car rental waiting for us.always get clean car + good servive from kennys. too early to check in at maho so we drove to orient + hung out for the day. weather was perfect + stayed that way for the whole week.noticed that ob was as wide as we've ever seen it. other days found us jumping from orient to friars and happy bay,and dawn beach.hit dawn on a cruise ship day--major crowd! staying on dutch side for the first time added considerable drive time to our days,but gave us many more options at night.always found it difficult to drive from ob area to simpson bay at night--too much sun + drink during the day!had a great time at ttol party monday at Aqua. thanks Kathy for all your hard work <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" /> had a couple of breakfasts + lunches at baywatch--great as usual. had too many breakfasts at zee best! great pastry and service! had dinner at lePiccollo after party with buffalo bob + brenda,and ken + jenny-fun food,good company and great service <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" />went to harmony night with polly and ed(belle1). dined at L'Alabama and had an excellent meal(thanks ed)! had steaks at peg leg for the first time--meal and service were excellent. also had dinner at bananas.again,great food at very fair prices. only dissapointing meal was dinner at hot tomatoes. food was mediocre and service was poor. we splurged for dinner at temptations on deeptis' recommendation. temptations provided one of the best dining experiences we have enjoyed anywhere! thanks deepti <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" />spent way too much time at dk gems on monday with deepti + kamal. deepti came up with a custom desing for a mothers ring for sandy.of course one of our children is a diamond,making sandy very happy <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" />can't wait for the ring to arrive from being custom set. Bob even got talked into buying a ring--love it! sandy had another suit made by luis. Love his fabrics,want his job <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" />
