Flying into Beef Island in May for a week. Need recommendations for:

1. One night hotel (16 people-2 boats) close to TMM.
2. Transfer to/from Beef Island for the group

Thanks always!

1. What time do you land and what are your dates?

2. Taxis - most use vans so you should have no problem filling 2.

We arrive Beef on May 26th @ 6:10 pm so i need transfer that evening and hotel.

Spoke to TMM, they have rooms but expensive because they only allow 2 people per room. Sleep aboard will cost around $850 night so trying to find something convenient to put our heads down until time to shove off.

Thanks.

Maria's by the Sea is not far from TMM's base. A standard room, that sleeps for 4 is $130 per night, for 2 people. An extra $40 per person, plus a 7% tax and a random $25 extra per room, comes to about $250 per night for 4.

We prefer to sleep aboard, you can get settled into your rooms and familiarize yourselves with the boat. Talk to TMM and see if you can work out a better deal, especially having 2 boats, they might work with you.

Try Fort Burt Hotel www.fortburt.com call and ask for multiple occupancy. They look over TMM also try Seaview http://seaviewhotelbvi.com they are just at end of road also Castle maria is usually cheap on Macnamara still very close 494-2553 and a good place to eat is The Pub very close to all the hotels.

I always loved staying at Fort Burt on both ends of a cruise when I had a boat at TMM. I know it has undergone changes in ownership & management over the years. I am wondering from folks who have stayed there in the last year, how it is today.

We stayed at Ft Burt last year before our TMM charter as we have since the mid nineties and it can't be beat for convenience. The night before we just want clean, AC and convenience. The Fort has that plus nice people and a great view! Hasn't changed much Frank.

Plus 1 Fort Burt is great. Love the views and freindly staff. Cost is reasonable as I remember. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Thumbsup.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the Fort Burt update, folks. Yeah, sitting outside in the evening, with a glass of rum, looking over the lights of Road Harbor was pretty wonderful. The open air bar/lounge was my favorite feature of the place.
