You always meet someone interesting.

Mosquitoes: Kim saw one, I saw one. I guess we didn't really need to find bug spray in the middle of winter after all.

Today was fairly uneventful. For the second day in a row we missed our early morning walk. Yesterday weather, today we woke up tired out. I think we're too old for vacations. Safer to just stay home locked inside.

We got down to the beach early-ish today had front row seats at Orange Fever by 10. That’s pretty well the story; we did what we do best: nothing. That was a LOT of sun in one day though. I’m feeling like an old wallet.

Oh, of course another Orange Fever lunch. We like the place.

Supper was another trip to Talk of the Town to bookend the trip. First time we were there Jacob the younger said the food wasn’t that great. I attributed it to Mardi Gras and the 1.1 million people they were serving. Turns out he was right, the food tonight was only okay. Either I am remembering it wrong, or the food was better in the past. Either way, I think I go there for the experience as much as the food.

And now here it is coming up to 9 pm. Good night.

Really enjoyed your reports.

I have thought for several years now that the food at the lolos is nothing to write home about. Years ago (many that is), I think it use to be decent but it did not even get to mediocre the last visit I made.

But isn't that what vacations are supposed to be about - doing whatever makes you happy, even if 'happy' equates to simply napping in the sun?

We've never been real big on the Lolos - tried them a few times because of the constant raves from people but we were never particularly impressed but I'm more than willing to concede we all have our own likes and dislikes. I absolutely love the dry rub ribs at Rosie's on Mullet and others don't like them at all.

I do hope you know how many of us will be sad to see your trip come to its conclusion, but in the meantime enjoy whatever time you have left.

Respectfully,

pat

Thanks for taking the time from your days to write reports for us to enjoy. Is vacation now formally over? The Toronto weather is sunny with clear skies and a gentle breeze, but you will find the temperature to be much colder upon your return. You will not have to worry about the skin getting burned for a few more days!

We have been disappointed in the lolos the past few visits also.

Safe travels home. Time to bring out the winter wear. Thanks again for all your stories. I thoroughly enjoyed them.

We ate at the lolos once. I certainly don't understand the draw. If I am in the area with so many gourmet restaurants, WHY would I eat at
one the of the lolos?

Agreed. We did try more than once, and actually tried three different ones, but haven't been back in many years.

Thanks for taking the time to share your trip with us. You do know that most people love their old wallet no matter how weathered it may become. We all tend to look like that as we age in the sun. Some of us feel like we have been sat upon for years. But, we still keep coming back for more wrinkles and creases. Loved the stories and so sorry I can't click on the link and read more from you. Safe and uneventful travels!

Suggest taking up a collection to fund another week of vacation for our reading enjoyment!

I had been thinking hard about staying a few more days, but I have to get back to that "W" thing.
