It was sooooo great to get out of Ohio and to BVI last week. There were 8 of us of the Leopard 4, Island Fun. We got to St Thomas at 2:40 hoping to meet the 4:30 ferry to Rhode Town, One of our crews checked bag ended up lost and ended up on a flight the next day. We arranged to have it delivered to West End customs on Monday. Kevin meet us at the airport and after all the paperwork for the lost bag made the 5 pm ferry (small and slow ferry) to Rhode Town. Once on Tortola, we had our cab drop off two crew members at Rightway and take the rest of us to Sea Cow Bay. By the time our grocery crew got there the rest had our frozen meats, food and clothes stowed. Had a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner at Arriana's in Sea Cow Bay. the lobster special was great. Due to the lost baggage and having to retrieve the snorkeling gear at West End, I had to change my pre-planned itinerary. This might have helped out with crowded moorings as we ended up not following the normal flow and had no problems getting a mooring ball anywhere. Great Harbor and Trellis Bay were almost full by 4 didn‘t fill up entirely. We left Sea Cow Bay around 10:30 AM Sunday and headed for Great Harbor. We dingy over to the Soggy Dollar for an afternoon of many many painkillers. Had a great grilled shrimp dinner back on the cat that evening. Monday morning we headed over to the Bubbly Pool and from there we sailed to the West End to pick up the lost luggage and some shopping. Fro there we sailed over to the Bight at Norman, hiked and had dinner on board. Early Tuesday around 8 we motored over to the Indians and got the second mooring ball. Water was rough for snorkeling but still nice. From there we tacked to Trellis Bay. Next morning set sail at 7 AM for thee baths, waves were way too rough and high to moor and dingy in so we headed to George Dog to snorkel and have lunch. After lunch we tacked to Virgin Gorda and grabbed a ball at Leverage Bay. Thanks Nick, loved the pool, happy hour with Bean and a GREAT dinner upstairs! Next morning we taxied to the baths. So glad we did it 8:30 am. When we were heading out of the baths, the cruise ship people arrived (at least 100). Make sure you get there early or after 2 when the cruise people have left. Next day, after a late breakfast we motored over to the Bitter End. We hiked Guys, Orchid and Mangrove trails. followed by drinks at the Pub Craw and dinner on board Island Fun. Next day had a great frittata breakfast on board followed by a wonderful leisurely sail back to the caves to snorkel. From there we headed back to Sea Cow with a quick stop at Nanny Cay to fuel. Took the first ferry Saturday back to St Thomas where we had breakfast and some shopping before heading to the airport. Couldn't believe we got though custom and security in less than 20 minutes (without a porter). I was joking with customs asking if we beat the rush hour and turns out it beat us. The bad news was we left all that to get back to minis 5 degree and 8" of snow. SO glad to be looking forward to coming back down in May. Can't wait to meet up with other TTOLers for the Dingy Craw.

Thanks for posting, enjoyed your report
Life involves risks, take some prudent ones (NOT with the BVI ferries)!
