One of our crew is arriving at STT 2 hrs before the next group. Any options for what to do? Should he venture out of the airport or just stay put? He's a 26 yr old guy, will have only carry on luggage. Anyplace he could walk to?

The bar in the baggage area? One of our crew is arriving before us in a couple weeks and that's where we're meeting her. Or, there's Atlantic Seafood right across the parking lot and off to the right.

Thought "Atlantic Seafood" closed? Bar in baggage area..if it were me I'd head on the fist cab to the ferry terminal and meet at The Petite Pump Room..

Another vote for cabbing it to the ferry terminal and hanging at the Petite Pump Room. I heard that Michael was going to start opening the PPR on Sunday also but not confirmed.

The place across the parking lot, which I assume is "Atlantic Searood", was boarded up last Wednesday

You can drink once past security. Why not go on through and get it over with?

Easy walk with rolling light luggage to Island Beachcomber bar, a friendly hanging out spot - you could easily pick him up on the way by - really the Pump Room is probably the easiest option - or a couple of the bar/restaurants in Frenchtown which is only 2 minutes from the ferry dock.
Atlantic Seafood is still closed.

We usually taxi to the ferry dock, leave our bags there, then wander into town for lunch/drinks. At least when we are taking the 3-3:30 ferry to VG that seems to work

Thanks! We're making arrangements for Kevin to take our whole group to the ferry terminal once we all arrive. Beachcomber sounds like maybe a good option.

Since that's the case just have your friend drink at the bar in baggage claim as already suggested. Besides, a great place to people watch!

Way better prices, scenery and bikini people watching at the Beachcomber vs. the airport bar. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" />

My vote would be to walk to the Best Western Emerald Beach hotel and have a Cold Carib and a Cheeseburger in paradise. The beach is nice as well.
