On shore I drink the water from the tap and on the boat drink bottled water and use the boat water for brushing teeth.

like others above, we eat and drink on shore whatever we're served, on the boat we only use the gallon jugs of water, interesting to note that the moorings lists in their list of equipment that the boat water is not-potable (not drinkable)

We drink tap water on land and bottled water on the boat. I'm with maytrix, I'll brush me teeth and make coffee with the boat water and would drink it in a pinch. For villas with cisterns, I'll take a look at the filter and decide based on that. I've seen a lot of filters hairy with red algae, me no likey.
