We usually visit in June and will again this year but I surprised my husband with a trip because we both love it there so much. Flew United out of O'hare on a direct flight. Had a 8:30 AM flight which left on time..and then an hour into the trip the pilot announces we have a tail wind and will be there 30 minutes early!! How often does that happen..;) we did carry ons only so proceeded through customs quickly and onto Thrifty Car Rental shuttle. We rented an economy car..not the greatest but it served it's purpose. We stopped and got groceries in Marigot and then on to Palm Court on Orient. We have stayed at Palm Court before and were not disappointed. I love the staff there!! They are the best. After the flight, etc. We opted to eat dinner at Bikini Beach. The 15th we headed to Orient and had a great day at the beach. That night we headed into Grand Case and had dinner at "Talk of the Town"..aka Lolo. Great, inexpensive food. Then went for drinks at the Blue Martini. The 16th we spent another day on Orient and then headed in Maho to see our friend Sam at European Jewelers. We see him for good deals on jewelery and cigars. We went to SSBB and had a few drinks and witnessed some pretty rude Americans(we are too but some give us a bad name)..drunk,loud and insulting to people there..oh well..alcohol isn't for everyone!! And yes the beers are $4 each..but hey..it's vaca!!! The 17th we headed to Cupucoy(I know I spelled that wrong) and didn't like it. Too rough and obviously we were not at the right end of the beach..it actually was kind of scary walking there! We then headed into Marigot to do some shopping and headed back to Orient. That evening we headed into Maho and ate at the new little french restaurant right behind Cherri's..can't recall the name but it is directly behind Cherri's..wow..wonderful food and great staff!!! On the 18th we spent the day on Orient since we had a 5:15 US Airways flight that connected through Charlotte. Palm Court let us have late check out and we made our way to the airport around 3:30. We did our duty free shopping and flight was on time. I also need to mention that we rented a cell phone from Sharon Harris and it was great!! My kids were able to get through to us each time they tried and we had great reception on Orient. I hated to come home but will return June 21-29th!! YIPEE!!
