We’ve just received a gift certificate to L’Escargo from friends. We’re on the island now. Never been there. Any idea how long it takes to get there leaving Simpson Bay Resort about 6:45? Can you drive down Front Street to get to the Restaurant and is there Valet parking? Any recommendations on menu choices (I’ve seen the online menu)?

I would allow 30 minutes to get there. Not sure on their parking but I am thinking they might have valet parking? At that time of day/night you will be able to drive down Front St. We actually were able to drive it this morning, all the way to Chesterfield's in less that 20 minutes and that included going down Front St. This was from Royal Palm.

No idea on their menu as I have never eaten there but I would probably stick with an escargot dish or ask for a suggestion from the wait person.

I believe there is a small lot behind their building. You turn left into the small street just beyond the restaurant and the entrance to the parking area is right there.

We always choose from What ever their specials of the day are, can't go wrong unless you don't like the specials. Steve usually has fish, I always have their escargot.

I'd call to be one hundred percent certain, but it seems to me we've seen a sign there for valet parking. Given its Front Street and deserted at night, I would definitely check first re the valet. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

good food, but if you go at night take a cab, not the best place to be late at night, better safe then sorry, you can then relax and enjoy the great food.
