Back from my 4th trip to SXM. Would like to share some observations:
Signature Car Rental in Marigot was GREAT! Very professional and prompt.
Went to Friar's Beach for the first time. Kind of disappointed. I was expecting a hidden gem. It was very tiny and crowded.
Shopping still one of the best things to do. We got a great deal on some binoculars in Phillipsburg and some nice clothes in Marigot.
Grand Case is still the No.1 spot in my books. Had a great meal at Le Tastevin, unfortunately, I came across some very ungracious and rude patrons at the restaurant -- no wonder some tourists get a bad name....
Ara-Whak bar is still great for people-watching.
Stayed at Le Flamboyant -- still find it to be a good deal and we like the location.
Next time, I might try the "alternate" route between Phillipsburg and Marigot (on the other side of the lagoon) but we chickened out this time. Traffic in PHillipsburg is still bad...
We still love SXM!!
