Hi everyone,
Just back from week on CGB in the CGB villa, then a week on VG in Leverick Bay at the Euphoria Villa.
First, the CGB villa. We loved the access to the beach and the nice strolls down to Myetts and Rhymers, Quito's, Big Banana. The food there was great and the service was superb. Even had an Anegada lobster at Myetts that was TOO DIE FOR!!! Took the ferry over to Jost for the day, met with Vinny from Corsairs, he is getting ready to head to Colorado to be with his grandkids. Had a superb Bloody Mary, great conversation, and a great pic I hope to post here. Then on to One Love bar, had great Bushwackers there, and great service. The group there were a blast. Left our OSU flag stappled to the rafter, GO OSU BEAVERS!! Back to CGB to the villa and the only bad thing were the bugs. We were so eatin up that our legs looked like we had the chicken pox. Darn bites itched something fierce too. Most of the bites happened at the CGB Villa. I need to pass that along to Jane so she can do something about them.
On VG the Euphoria villa was totally awesome! Our family fit right in. We found it much more difficult to purchase general food items on VG than expected. Milk wasn't always available bread either. Meat wasn't worth eating and was below quality, and learned that next time we are bringing an ice chest full of frozen meat. The drivers on VG are more carefull than on Tortola and not as impatient. Our best snorkling was at the baths believe it or not. Then we went to Savanah Bay and saw two sea turtles and some beautiful purple jellyfish among other wonderful underwater creatures. All in all we had a great two weeks drank way too much ate way too much , and it went by way too fast and now we are back home starting the DIF all over again. Hasn't even been 24 hours.
Met LandCrab at the great beach resturant on Brewers Bay, had a couple of awesome burgers there some good conversation and a few laughs. He sure is frustrated with the lack of consideration for the natural resources and the policing of them, ie.. the jet skis on CGB and the large yachts anchored in Brewers Bay. I totally see his point and agree.
We go to come back again, sooner than later we hope.
