Notice to Mariners from the Port of St. Maarten:
...The Dutch Marines stationed on St.Maarten are planning to have live weapons exercises.
Time will be between 09:00 and 11:00 Tuesday April 28th and Wednesday April 29th , 2015.
The area will be south west of the Proselyte Marine Conservation area approximately 5 to 8 miles out to sea.
Vessels are green rigid inflatable vessels.
One vessel will be on RADAR and visual lookout as well as VHF monitoring and ensuring that the area is kept clear while the other is practicing.
The intent is to have all practice inside a “ box” with the following coordinates:
A17° 57`00” N063° 10`00” W
B17° 57`00” N063° 05`00” W
C17° 52`00” N063° 10`00” W
D17° 52`00” N063° 05`00” W
All mariners are asked to stay well clear of this area.
