just arrived home from our much anticapated trip to St John. All things considered we had a good time. We loved the beaches in the following order. Gibney by far was our favorite followed by Honeymoon,Mayo. Francis and Jumbey. To see these beaches in their natural state is quite the experiance. We have visted the caribbean 14 times visiting 7 differant island and the beaches here where by far the best and least crowded. The driving is crazy and takes awhile to get used to.The weather was not good. We arreived on a cloudy overcast Sunday May 7th awoke to clouds on Monday morning . Finally by noon the clouds broke somewhat and the sun was in and out the rest of the day. Tues and Weds. were quite nice followed by a very raining Thurs night and morning. Thurs was not a beach day and got quite stormy as the evening progressed. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/cloud.gif" alt="" /> Friday morning had wind and rain like I have never seen. Roads were flooded and driving into Cruz from Coral to the ferry was very slow .
All and all we had a good time but all things considered would probably choose another island for our next venture to the Seas. We found the beaches unmatched but never really felt the cult like love so many have written about on this forum. Thanks to all for the pretrip insite we gathered before our departure. To each his own.
