We were people watching today, inventing back stories for some of our fellow beach denizens. Such as the mismatched couple I dubbed the Russian gangster and his girlfriend. Mind you, as we were doing this a line from an old Fleetwood Mac song was going round my head
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
Then there was the cruise ship part of three girls and one boy. They looked like they were mid-teens and the boy seemed like he was the younger brother of one of them. The girls stopped in the middle of Club O beach and decided they were going into the water. The lad was left to sit on the beach and watch their stuff. He looked really fed up and I can't say I blamed him.
Lunch was our usual beach picnic of baguette, pâté and cheese and a bottle of rosé. However, this evening we splurged in Grand Case. After a couple of cocktails at Calmos Cafe, we sauntered along the main drag to L'Estaminet for one of the best meals we've had in a long time.
