There are a lot of posts about bringing coolers to beaches and whatnot. Does anyone pack up a couple of bottles of wine, some cheese, baguettes and fruit and do the beach that way any more? Windjammer landing on St, Barth's-first stop after rental car was grocery.

No, you can't bring a corkscrew in carry-on. I had a corkscrew in my carry on luggage for a weekend trip, and of course forgot about it. Next time headed to a trip involving airlines, it was confiscated.

I've taken a corkscrew in my carry-on. Just make sure that the corkscrew does not have a foil cutter. TSA considers the 1-1/4 inch long foil cutter as a knife. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" />

PS. I ground my foil cutter off...

You CAN bring a corkscrew in carryon as long as it doesn't have the little knife blade on it. The cheapo ones in the plastic thingy are fine.
