Everyone asked me if it was difficult planning a destination wedding. Thanks to TTOLers giving me tips and the fact I have been there many times, made it a cinch! Thanks. Enjoy, we did!!!

Day 1 - Yea! We flew via IAD to SJU to EIS with no problems. We walked over to Beef Island Guest House - Trellis Bay - in the rain (holding my wedding dress) oh well. Just Scott, me and our friend John for tonight. Had a few drinks at Da Loose Mongoose and chatted with our Capt. Dan, Penny & friends. We met Paul and his visiting nephew Alan who was very anxious for Uncle Paul to take him out snorkeling but the weather (rain and swell) not cooperating. Scott & Paul determined they had something in common -- BEER. Paul founded a brewery in Portsmouth, NH which he sold and now lives in BVIs. Checked out the Cyber Cafe rum punch and shuttled over to Last Resort for dinner. I didn't make it all night but the boys stumbled back in around 3am.

Day 2 - Scott's sis and family arrived. We were setting sail on the CJ2 and the Chocolat Blanc. Provisions that should have been delivered by Bobby's around noon, didn't make it until 2:30pm. Not ideal since we are only chartering for two nights and were missing precious time aboard. We ended up staying in Trellis anyhow due to the swell. Dinner again at The Last Resort. Something about that place makes my head hurt!

Day 3 - Swell is starting to die down. Made it oh so far and snorkeled Diamond Reef for a bit then headed over to Cooper. The current was strong so the snorkeling was a pretty good workout. We anchored in Money Bay on the back side of Norman for the night. Even though sheltered it was a bit windy. Made a hearty dinner of jerk pork chops and caribbean rice.

Day 4 - Sailed from Norman past The Bight. Willie T looked jam packed. It's the last day of the sailing regatta. Anchored at a small calm bay on St. John (shhh) lousy with sea turtles. Had lunch and floating happy hour. We had asked to be dropped off in CGB at the government dock but our captains thought it could be rough. Fortunately we made it into CGB no problem! Met up with all the rest of the family and friends in for the wedding in CGB. Checked into Indigo House - great place and Scott's sis checked into Seven Peaks. The rest were staying at about every other place there is on CGB that had space. Myett's for dinner - I've always loved their ribs!

Day 5 - Everyone hung out on the beach in front of our house. Kids loved the kyaks. Not too many cruise ship people but enough to keep us on our end of the beach. My sister and I decided to climb up to Seven Peaks from the back side. That was a challenge. Had a full moon party potluck at Seven Peaks. Picked up a bunch of honey stung chicken from Stanley's. I'm surprised that we did not eat them out of chicken. With 45 hungry people all week....Some of us made it over to the Full Moon Party, but petered out.

Day 6 - Breakfast a Big Banana as usual then Sandman took us over to Soper's Hole for lunch and shopping. Stopped by to chat with Iona at Palm's Delight as I made reservations for everyone to have Gingerwine Chicken tonight. She said she would be ready. The dinner was outstanding! After dinner went to Quito's to listen to him play unplugged. Sandman joined us and he was in rare form.

Day 7 - Thanks to everyone who recommended the Extreme Machine! We needed a way to take our guests snorkeling and sail boat option would not work for us due to our numbers. After quite a few calls with Julie to get the details straight, everything worked out great. Joe and crew picked us up at the government dock in CGB. Snorkeled Diamond Reef and The Baths. All the kids, even my 4 year old nephew snorkeled. The lunch on Extreme Machine was really, really good. Quiches, mini gourmet pizzas, pasta salad, slaw and yummy banana bread from Le Gourmet in Road Town. Joe's crew Shane & Faye were GREAT and we tipped them well. Dinner at Seven Peaks made lovingly by family member Rick.

Day 8 - The girls went to Peter Island for spa treatments and lunch while the guys stayed at Indigo House and played Beach Bocci Ball. They made quite a few trips to Bobby's to restock the beer and booze. I enjoyed a 75 minute custom massage and tried to work on wedding vows but the scenery at the spa pool was too distracting! Saw a falcon fly by. Elissa & Dave hosted dinner for everyone at Quito's. Normally just Quito unplugged but they worked it out so the Edge was there as well (Pierre filling in for Buckwheat because he was out of town). Dave & Elissa flew the entire band out to Monterey, CA for their wedding at the Monterey Plaza Hotel last July. Had a great night of dancing. I think we locked the doors that night. The moon dogs (I don't know their names)two yellow dogs we only saw at night escorted us home as usual. Many wedding guests left with one of their flip flops/shoes missing. I know it was those moon dogs. One of our friends was lucky to find his shoe, albeit a bit chewed up.

Day 9 - Oh my god, we are getting married today! Decided to get ready on Jost Van Dyke. Extreme Machine picked us up at 1:30pm at the government dock in CGB. Big mistake getting married on Good Friday. Apparently, there is a law that no alcohol may be served or sold until 6pm in the evening! Joe our captain of Extreme Machine saved the day and let us take the cooler full of beer and take it over to White Bay. Our wedding guests were now smiling when the cooler showed up at the Soggy Dollar Bar. Ya, Soggy Dollar Bar and at one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and no alcohol. The Sand Castle graciously allowed us to use their office to change into our wedding clothes. We told rest of guests to come casual and bring their swim suits. Even our captain we usually sail with, Mobbsie of the Lionheart made it. He made his crew get up at 6am so he could make it over to Jost. Good man! Two of the local dogs walked with Scott and I down the beach. The ceremony was short, emotional and beautiful. Simple, just the way we wanted it. Had our reception at Myett's. Valerie and the staff did an awesome job and the food was really good. The cake too was tasty.

Day 10 - Went to the CGB Cottages for homemade breakfast cooked by my Uncle Bobby. Took it easy on the beach all day and did our normal floating happy hour. We figured out that is why we normally come back with one hand more tan than the other. You have to hold your drink above water! Dinner again at Quito's. The jerk lime shrimp and the veggie pasta were excellent. Buckwheat back in town and played with The Edge. They had to compete with the 100s of PR fishing boats blasting music.

Day 11 - Off to St. Martin for our honeymoon. Alone! I'll continue my trip report on the St. Martin forum.'
