Finally, I went through my daily journal and realized I didn't write much past 12/21, I guess we were doing a lot of 'nothing' <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />, which is what it's all about.

Highlights and Lowlights

Road Town Fast Ferry was not so fast. The normal 50 minute trip took 2 hours and 20 minutes.
After arriving into STT and catching the Road Town Fast Ferry we lost an engine. Two wind surfers passed us as we putted along. We took it all in jest.
It made it a very long travel day before arriving at Maria’s By the Sea. (Maria’s by the Sea was a pleasant surprise)

The amount of Safari Taxis on Ridge Road, Tortola and CGB. We were told 5000 people had been dumped on CGB the day we were there. We fought through the maze to get to Stanley’s for a Cheeseburger, thank you Tony!!!!

Leaving our video camera bag in Denzil Clyne’s jeep. (We just lost the battery and CD’s; luckily we had the video camera)

Missing seeing the Christmas Carolers on Jost

Having lunch at Saba Rock with Stan, Karen, Greg, and Anne.

Bushwackers at the Lobster Trap: the best on Anegada. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />

Returning to Neptune’s Treasure after dinner and running into our friends, Susie and Heinz, whom we were not expecting to see until Friday December 21 on JVD. They surprised us so we were able to spend a few days together on Anegada and then again on JVD.

Finding Conch Shells, LOTS OF THEM on Anegada <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" />

Attending the Anegada Christmas Tree Lighting<img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/xmas032.gif" alt="" />

Sitting in Big Jim’s Chair at Neptune’s and at Sandcastle. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Thumbsup.gif" alt="" />

Arriving from Anegada into Road Town at 9:41 am and making it to the ferry at West End for the 10:00 am ferry to Jost.

Running into ZAPPRINT (Eugene and Paula) at West End; who were catching the ferry to St Thomas. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Banana.gif" alt="" />

Meeting BCRABILL (Bill and Christine) at Sandcastle. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/circle.gif" alt="" />

Having Ivan run down to the beach and greet Tommy and welcome him!

Conch Fritters at Harris' Place on Jost: the best!! You have to go there and try them. WOW! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />

Raquel (Seddy’s One Love) makes a ‘killer’ bushwacker. Try it you’ll like it!!! Just ask Tommy

Talking to the policeman that ‘arrested’ sharnightqueen. (He remembers) <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Laugh.gif" alt="" />

Spending Christmas on JVD.

Spending time with Mic, Shaneek, Clayvorne, Sana, and Vickie at Sandcastle. They are the best.

Sana bringing us the sugar apple to taste.

[color:"red"]And what the ……?[/color]
When Stan took us to catch the ferry from Spanish Town to Anegada the road was closed!! We looked like 4 keystone cops not knowing what to do…Thank god a local lady took pity on us and told us another route to go. I swear she was still laughing as we were going over the hill.

Having a rock ‘jump” right in front of my toe and break the darn toe…. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Blush.gif" alt="" />

Tommy finding ‘jibitz’ to add to his red crocs. ( I have GOT to get a picture of these and add them to our webshots)

Tommy doesn’t drink until he arrives in the BVI, and then every other day he goes into a recovery mode.

Taking the Noon ferry from JVD to WE and needing to catch the 12:30pm ferry from WE to STT. Left JVD late, arrived WE as the STT ferry was leaving. KC stopped them, threw our luggage thru the ‘secret’ gate, we ran thru immigration, everyone was yelling ‘go go go’. Got on the ferry to STT and asked Tommy ‘where are our passports?’ He didn’t have them, he jumped off the ferry, ran back to the counter; the lady didn’t have them; she said your wife took them. I didn’t have them!!! THEN, a lady on the ferry came back and said I have 4 passports and there are only 2 of us. Holy S..T, she had picked up our passports. JMJ
Lesson Learned: WE WILL NEVER EVER EVER TAKE THE NOON FERRY FROM JVD TO WE TO CATCH THE 12:30PM FERRY TO STT… Never Ever…..

We had a wonderful trip as we always do. When things don't go the way you planned, just go with the flow; you never know what may come out of it.
We are looking forward to returning in December 2008.

The new webshot pictures are posted for our December 2007 trip. Enjoy!
