As everyone has stated, the traffic is the worst that I've seen in the 20 years that I've been going to SXM. If you don't include traffic planning in your daily itinerary: shame on you. I'm addressing the Dutch side.

Sharon Harris for telephone was great, as usual and Alain @ AAA ditto. By the way, there really is an Alain A. Arnel.

Stayed @ Horny Toad Guesthouse for a few days and then @ the Royal Palm for the remainder of the stay.

The Trattoria Italiano, at Maho above Cheri's and Moulin Fou was very good as usual, as well as Lady "C" and Pizza Galley across from Royal Palm. The Hideaway @ La Vista is still playing KA with quality of food, service, and price.

For the first time, took nonstop United Airlnes flight from IAD to SXM. The flights, in both directions were uneventful. Nice to be on a flight to SXM where you only give them one chance to loose your luggage each way.

Immagration at SXM was fast but, the wait for the luggage was in excess of 35 minutes, even though there were no other flights that landed even close to when we did.

Gasoline price at the Texaco next to Turtle Pier was 2.10 Naf per liter which equates to approx. $4.30 per US gallon.
