So, on tuesday we decided to do a day on Orient Beach. We got a late start because the weather was iffy. Thankfully, as we approached Orient, the weather improved greatly. We made out way to the beach and ended up in front of Bikini Beach Bar. Lots of wind that day and surf made for spectacular kite surfing and parasailing. Was the only breezy day and we soon learned that it was very much appreciated. Here are a few pics of the beach. Two chairs for $20 for the day, by the way:

There was a bunch of the sargassum seaweed on Orient but it wasn't a problem where we were so much, but as you walked towards Club Orient it became thicker and more of a smell to it. There were very few people on that end of the beach when we were there. We enjoyed a few hours before it finally started sprinkling and so we decided to grab a bite at Bikini Beach Bar. Food was great. Snapper filet plate and chicken kabob and calamari along with caprese salad. Really enjoyed it all.

We then returned to the beach and someone who I was hoping to run into..happened to show up. None other than the famous DREAD I reggae musician. I sang Three Little Birds with him and then as he was autographing the cd we bought, his buddy Remo (who is a Soca musician and performs at BBR on Fri nights) showed up, so was able to get a pic with both. What a treat. I had seen a post on TTOL about him. Glad to meet him. He's the real thing and his music is good!

All good things to come to an end. We had to leave to get cleaned up for a trip to P'burg to get my friends swag(Diamonds International Tanzanite necklace) she won at the dance contest at SBR the first day and to eat AGAIN.:)
We shopped for a few minutes in downtown as it was late, but noone was in town bc the cruise ships passengers had boarded. Two were in port that day. We got her necklace and proceeded to have a great meal at the Blue Bitch Bar and restaurant ....deliscious jerk chicken and shrimp curry and their signature drinks. Blue Curacao Colada!

Lovely day and evening. Finished up with a game of Pass the Pigs and Sheridans back at the condo at SBR!
