Hello...

We are back from our vacation to the most beautiful sport on earth...

To make a nice break from all our depressions and life-style-questioning I would like to post a quick Trip summary as a little guide to anyone thinking of going. If you don't see a full report from me it means I have got back on a plane and will be 'working for board'.

Anyway, the highlights...

The Good..
1. The taxi ride from the airport to Cane Garden Bay was almost as good as any ride in a fun fair. Up, down fast and with the addition of some great music. Me and my girlfriend loved it!
2. Cane Garden Bay. The best place to stay on Tortola. Everything was great. We stayed in the Ole Works Inn. Nothing special but still 'perfect'. Every place on CGB looked great.
3. Laying around on CGB is just lovely. Morning walks. Swimming. Resting. Evening Walks. Nigh Walks and all meals were enjoyable.
4. Day 2.5: We left our lovely CGB and joined our crewed charter. We crewed because it's easier. It comes with a chef. And local people don't need a cruise guide to find all the best bits.
5. The Charter was a big boat. ENDLESS SUMMER 2. I can not talk highly enough for this company and for the crew. They were just perfect. Captain was great. Boat was SPECIAL. Chef was amazing. The toys on the boat were great. It's the most successful boat in the BVI and checking out
http://www.ESbrochure.com/ should give you a good idea of what we had.
6. I wont give you a detailed list of what we did. It's all great. We went to many moorings and did many activities. Everything was just great.
7. After a week, they final found our hiding place on the boat and gently throw us ashore.... we went back to CGB for a few nights, which were great but as the boat charter had been so good our spirits were low.

Go to BVI, go to CGB, charter a boat, eat like hell, swim, take photographs, snorkel, dive, walk, smell, look, laugh, sail, drive, visit everything, always say yes. Take those morning swims, have that naked night dip. Drink great drinks, always save room for desert. Always make the effort to take an extra photograph. Dance at every opportunity. Just have a great time all the time. YOU ARE SOON HOME AND BACK TO WORK.

Me and my girlfriend are in our 20's (me only for a few months more and her for a while yet) and out big concern now is... how do we beat that.

THANKS TO ALL THE ADVICE I GOT HERE ON THIS SITE, I MADE SOME GREAT CHOICES BEFORE I LEFT. WHAT I LEANRED HERE MADE A REAL DIFFERENCE TO THE HOLIDAY. THANKS TO EVEYONE WHO HELPED.

The Swedish Tourists (pissed off and at home crying)

Edited by Administrator on 8/8/01 02:49 PM.
