Linda put together the following for our newbie guests.
Some might find it useful. They did.

When you arrive:

If you fly into Beef Island Tortola—take a short cab ride to Trellis Bay- Scrub Island Ferry Dock adjacent to airport. The ferry is free and goes to Scrub Island every hour at 45 minutes past the hour. Last ferry is at 1045p

IF you fly into St. Thomas—Get in line for the Cabs. Take a cab to Charlotte Amalie Ferry Dock cost aprox 10.00 pp (about 5 min away and in town) There are 3-4 ferry companies in the terminal and take the next ferry to Tortola. Cost-aprox $30-$35 The ferries go to two place in Tortola. (Sopers’ Hole West End and Road Town.) Road Town is the closest and in the center of the island. If it is not an option go to Sopers Hole west end.)
There is a restaurant upstairs in the ferry terminal that serves lunch and drinks. You can bring drinks on the ferry. Fill out custom paperwork before you get on the ferry if possible.

Ferry schedule for This Saturday and Sunday from Charlotte Amalie to Tortola/Each company has one ferry in the afternoon.
Native Sun ferry—1:30P to West End and continues to Road town.
Smith Ferry---3:30p to west end and continues to Road town
Road Town fast Ferry- 4:15p to Roadtown.—This is the last ferry from Charlotte Amalie

If really delayed—take cab to Red Hook ferry terminal (other end of Island) cab aprox 75.00
Native Son-departs Red Hook-5:00p to Tortola –last ferry to Tortola

Arrival in Tortola
When you arrive in Road Town or Soper’s Hole-Clear customs and take a cab to Trellis Bay Ferry dock—Take the ferry to Scrub Island /departs 45 min past the hour unit 10:45p -Free
Cab cost approx. $30.00 from Roadtown or aprox $50.00 from Sopers Hole for the ride not per person.

It is not as crazy as it sounds. When you arrive on Scrub Island we can have a nice dinner in the restaurant (shoes required).
and or enjoy their pool. Hope to see you there.

Linda and Robert

When the ferries sometimes stick to a schedule, that will work.

When we have newbie guests flying into St. Thomas, we have them arrange a pick-up at the airport with Kevin Campbell and let him get them where they need to be.

For a "resort fee" I believe.

When it comes to Taxis and St. Thomas - Kevin Campbell is a RockStar at arriving and departing STT. He is very knowledgeable with all things local. Punctual, honest, and always has a hilarious story in his back pocket.

Correct on the resort fee...or a well placed under the counter slide. Also they have a card that they give you. if you loose the card they will charge you 25$.
