Weather
Wonderful. Water a little cold at first but no problem at all. Sunny days with a little bit of clouds, just enough cool you down when you are away from a Heineken. Couple of showers for about 1 hour but nothing really.

Accomodation
We stayed at Sonesta Maho. It’s the 2nd time we stay here and we like it.

Beaches
The beach at Maho is not too good but we went once or twice to Mullet where it’s OK. We had the best ribs there on the beach.
Orient Beach: good beach as usual. My wife didn’t like the waves here so we went to
Le Gallion (10 minutes walk from O.B.) A lot of sea grass but very calm and enjoyable.
The beach in front of P’burg: very nice to walk on; white sands and calm.
We went to Maho beach once and I was blown away (literally) by Air France. I still have sand in my ears.
Shoal Bay in Anguilla: the best beach ever. Period. White sand beach, fairly long, excellent for snorkeling, but the best of all is the color of the ocean: it’s a shade of turquoise that I cannot describe.

Food
We had A.I. but we only took advantage of the breakfast.
Sarafina in Marigot. We were not hungry enough for all the goodies there.
Spicy in Grand Case. We were not too impressed about this fairly new restaurant. I asked about frog legs (as per some previous posts on TTOL) and they didn’t have any. The portions were small compared to other places and nothing special. The service was ok.
La Rosa Too in Maho. Best dinner on the island. Food that melts in our mouth. Service was ok. A little pricy but worth it.
Bistro Paris in Maho. Very good food and presentation. Service was also very good. We went there twice.
Passage to India in Maho. We are not too fond of Indian food but it was ok as an experience. Service was good.
Sopranos in Maho. We wanted to eat there but we didn’t like the atmosphere so we left.
Le Moulin Fou in Maho. Food was very good, service was excellent. Very pricy. Next time we’ll eat twice at La Rosa.
Gwen in Anguilla. Food was ok, service ok. Not a great variety here. Probably we’ll not go there again. Gwen didn’t charge for chairs and umbrella.
Uncle Ernie in Anguilla. Food was excellent, great variety. Service was excellent. This is where I tasted for the first time Pyrat xo reserve. Excellent rum, more like a cognac.

Miscellaneous
Went to Casino Royal twice and since we are not big players we didn’t like it but the casino was full and people and they seem to have a good time.

Went once to The Good Life Spa in Maho. We had couple massage and was good but not excellent. Then next 2 days we went to Malakh Day Spa in Anguilla and we also had couple massage. Now that was awesome. My wife is an aesthetician so we have a bit of experience in this field.

We decided not to rent a car this time so we took the bus and a few times a taxi.

We tried to get a deal at J.N Jewelers in Maho but the owner was pushy and not flexible for us so no sale for him. We bought most of the gold from Platini in P’burg. It’s a family business and Danny makes you feel like home. And definitely not pushy as others. We liked that. My wife liked the jewelries and I liked the prices. Based on our experience, we recommend him.

If you need to buy things in SXM don’t buy it from the airport. The stores there have fewer items than in P’burg and prices are ~20% higher.

Places:
P’burg on Monday where there was only 1 ship. We also went on Tuesday afternoon just for the fun of it (4 ships!) The lineup of passengers to go back to their ships was huge. I can only imagine how was P’burg during that day.
Marigot on Wednesday for the fish and fruits market.
Anguilla for the beach.
Le Gallion for the calm waters.
Grand Case for the restaurants. Also the night we went to Spicy there was a lot of animation on the streets. They called it “Harmony Night”

Overall it was another wonderful experience on our favorite island. We have used a lot of useful information from this board and we thank you all for that. Sorry for the long report.
