Because this was a working trip(minor repairs & upkeep) we were determined to make this an economical trip. We actually brought a whole filet minon & lamb chops from Costco, with us. We ate in alot. We did not go crazy with expensive dinners out like we normally do. We did manage to hit our favorites...Baywatch, Waikiki on Sunday afternoon, Pinel & Karibuni,Mullet, Rouge & Gus's for lunch. We spent most of our time shuttling between ACE and Home & Tool. Most evenings out were at Marina Port Royale. Love Belle Epoch and Les Petit Auberge des Isles! Did the Sunset Beach Bar & Grille. Liked the boat bar on the other side--way better rum punches! Enjoyed watching the boats come in at Simpson Bay Yacht Club @ 5:30. The weather was beautiful. NO mosquitoes! Yippie! Match has better priced wines than Grande Marche. Drank Champagne on the beach New Years day! Marigot had terrific fireworks on New Years Day night. Met some great people and really enjoyed ourselves. Spent an afternoon in P'burg watch shopping, and early dinner at Chesterfield's for the crispy duck...yummmy. Only had to wait 2 days for the hurricane shutter repair man...Wilcome to Sint Maaaaarten. Sad to leave--hate that last morning packing and wishing we had more time...AND MONEY!!!
