I'm assuming from the article that they know where this is coming from and it is pretty disgusting that the government is allowing this to happen. If this is a business maybe they should make it public on social media.... I'm not an advocate of social "shaming" but a business would likely recognize that tourists and residents alike would be very unhappy with the situation.

I can tell you first hand or shall I say first nose, when we were walking around the back of Carousel that it was a stench so bad, we had to walk back to the parking lot.

I remember that in the late 90s There was a large sewer pipe going out into the water next to Coco Beach at Orient Beach.

That's why I avoid swimming at Simpson Bay. The sewage goes out into the sea and pollutes the whole bay.

...and frequently they dig a trench next to Friar's and flush the huge toilet/pond right into the swimming area which lets the currents take it right to Grand Case etc.

...and frequently the same in Great Bay.

SO pick your poison I guess...

One of the reasons we haven't been to the Boathouse for a few years, is that there was often an awful sewage smell in the restaurant.
