When we arrived at the Delta check-in counter lasr week, we were surprised they could no longer check our bags all the way through to Tortola, as they had in the past. Their records showed our final segment as a Seaborne/AA codeshare. At the completion of the AA merger about a month ago, the Delta /American interline agreement ended.

That was not a big issue for us, as we were spending the night in San Juan. However, we now worried about paying for our checked bags on Seaborne. As all theee of our flights were on one ticket, Seaborne was willing to waive their fees, if we could prove we had already paid for the bags.

We had not printed out our baggage invoices, so began the search through e-mails to prove that two bags were free (ticket bought with Delta credit card) and that we had paid for one.

Be prepared to pick up and re-check your bags, and have ready proof of fees paid. We will have to see if more recently-purchased tickets have the same issue.
