A new feature has been added to Sail-Orion.com which allows users to pick their desired anchorages and a Float Plan will be prepared for them ... see http://www.sail-orion.com/floatplan.htmlIn version 2, we hope to have distances for each leg provided on the fly (thanks for suggestion Beerman). Please have a look and let us know if you have improvement suggestions. Happy Holidays from S/V Orion! - Mark

I've never done a charter, but just seeing that website has me saving some $$$ and looking for a couple others to join us as soon as we can.
I miss you, BVI!

That's fun, I'll give it a try.
Feature request: Add USVI.
After looking at it, looks more like a booking service. Not an app. Oh well, it would be cool to generate a map to show my crew.
Cheers, RickG

Mark, this is really cool and practical. However, to make it a bit more useful to me, please consider adding Bayou Self, Louisiana as a potential port of call. Just pulling your chain.
Merry Christmas,
Tony

Hi new member here; I must say I am tempted to try it but I have already booked our trip through moorings on the 4000. I would feel guilty trying it out, but if I have your blessing I would be happy to!
One area of improvement I can think of is: is there any way to have way points within a day? For example on day 6 of our draft itinerary we are stopping for the day at Peter Island and then spending the night at Cooper island.
This might be asking to much and I don't mean to diminish the work that you put into it. It looks great and would be a useful tool to consult with other crew members on itinerary.
Cheers

UncleLuff ... Thanks for your feedback! No blessing required ... submit a request and we will generate a Float Plan for you. We are happy to provide the service if people find it useful.
Thanks! - Mark

I would buy this as an app just because it would be fun for our friends/family/guests to use when planning ahead or as a memento afterward; it's really cool!
UncleLuff, why not just spend the night at Peter?
If I can't be a good example, I'll just have to be a horrible warning.

Tried it out...Loved it! Seems easy and strightforward...Perhaps adding choices for stops between destinations would make it even more usable! Thanks for the trial run!

Thanks LivingThe Dream ... Great suggestion to list day stops! We were thinking people would use the comment field to enter spots they wanted to hit in between anchorages and some have, but a list that people can select from would be more user friendly.
Can't think of a better group to pre-populate the list than TTOL'ers, so please post ideas to this thread. Here's a start ...
The Baths The Indians The Caves Fallen Jerusalem The Dogs Wreck of the Rhone Bubbly Pool Monkey Point

I know I'm doing something dumb (as usual) but, I filled out the float plan on the sail-orion website but how do you send it?? I can't find a submit tab.

Wayne ... "Submit" button is at bottom of page on the right hand side. I do not have a submission from you. If you can't make it work, send destinations to SailOrionBVI@gmail.com and we'll get a Float Plan out to you. BTW, I'm in SouthEastern PA as well ... Chadds Ford. Thanks - Mark

Thanks Mooshie! Response to this tool has been (almost) over-whelming ... Struggled to keep up over the holidays, but we're all caught up and happy to prepare personalized Float Plans for any TTOL'ers ... http://www.sail-orion.com/floatplan.html Thanks! - Mark

Thank you very much Mark. Float Plan looks great and I appreciate your quick response. Nice tool and I agree the distances per leg will be a good feature.
