Hello all.

I first want to thank the mods and users that take the time to make this site what it is. I've spent way too many nights reading through these threads until the early morning hours, and what began as a mild interest has turned to obsession!

We leave to spend a week in the BVI and will have an extra day on the back end with no reservation. We are looking to have a day to relax after our charter, gain our land legs back, and finish off all the rum. Anyone have thoughts for a one night stay, nothing too $$, on Tortola close to the Ferry?

Much thanks.

We spend our last night at Maria's by the Sea, which is next to the Gov't building and a short walk from the ferry dock. Close to Main St. and a short cab ride to the botanic garden's. Clean rooms and A/C and a decent restaurant, esp. for breakfast. Near other good restaurants and nearby car rental, too. Have fun! Is it May yet?

Consider the 12:30 ferry from WE to STJ and stay at the St. John Inn or the Inn at Tamarind Court. Both are reasonable cost and clean. The ferry to STT the next day is streee free and you will have already cleared C&I.

STJ was our first choice for this last day, but I believe we checked into a few places and found them to be booked for the day, or not offer one night stays. I will try them again though to see if any cancellations.

Thank you both for your replies!

One night at Rhymer's or The Elm in Cane Garden Bay..15 min cab ride to the ferry in the morning and your last night will be on the beach with a choice of places to dine and party..

Our recommendation and choice is Maria's by the Sea. We will be there for one night after our 8 day bareboat charter in two weekends.

Thanks Hoosier. We're going to try and make CGB part of our charter. If that works out, Maria's is probably going to be our best bet.

I agree with Manpot. CGB is the right choice for the reasons he stated.

Sea View Hotel is great also & walking distance to ferry dock, perfect & safe & owner very friendly & helpful & better price than Maria's esp when you are only in a room for 12 hours sometimes
