Our favorite place on Orient Beach is Orange Fever. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" />
Can anyone give us an update on if and when Orange Fever will return to Orient Beach? <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Thumbsup.gif" alt="" />

My favourite too. Looks like it won't be open before our trip next week frown

Looks like several weeks still.

Supposedly the GREEN building in the pictures that I posted from Jeepers in the thread above is supposed to be their new home, but there didn't seem to be any activity from the front there, as of when those pictures were taken.

I actually do not know the outcome of whether all the new restaurants have signed contracts or not, as they were protesting the very large rents, but I have not heard any updated status on that..

We were there for 3 weeks & everyday we drove behind the new buildings & walked in front as well. Had hoped to see Luc or Olivier but we saw no action at that green building. Wishful thinking to get pizza, fish & mango drizzled on our cheesecake. Sigh. Got our pizza fix at La Croissanterie. Very good. Miss orange fever though

Jeepers, you like fish and mango drizzled on your cheesecake?

Oh, the power of the Oxford comma. wink

Pizza at La Croissanterie? We've enjoyed numerous breakfasts there, if it's half as good as their croissants, it must be delicious. Honestly, we've been wanting to go there for lunch with La Belle Epoque closed, but didn't make it yet. Next trip, for sure.

I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

Thanks gang for your posts and it's looking more and more like we're not going to be able to bite into Orange Fever's great cheeseburgers and pizza. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/smashpc.gif" alt="" />

Since we'll be in paradise Feb 13 through Feb 26, unless a miracle occurs, we won't be tasting those great burgers and pizza this year at the Orange place! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" />

Last 3 are working to open, no power no water
Brothers and Sun Beach have chairs out - Sun Beach has a sign
Apart from the 3 noted no activity - weeks away for the rest, but the 3 noted could be open in days or a week if they had power and water

Sorry, I'm directionally challenged, whoever is taking Cheryl's spot will still be the closest to Pedro's?? And do we know which of these have actually signed their leases and if there is going to be any reduction on the rent?

Correct - 1st one from Pedro's will be Cheryl's old spot

Talked to Brothers owner yesterday, he has signed a lease as have the 3 to the north - Sun Beach, Aloha and Le String
He " thinks" Chez Leadra, Ethic and Orange fever have signed also, but I'm not sure
He also was told he would be getting power by today, but saw him this morning and no power coming yet he says

However renting 2 of his chairs today , got to show support

Good for you! I'm surprised they don't have coolers with beer on ice. It wouldn't be highly profitable, but might encourage more folks to use the chairs.

I know I am adding nothing new with this, but have you ever seen such a bungled undertaking?

We've been coming to St. Martin for 20 years, all on the French side18 years on Orient.

I fully expected this to be bungled. But this level of bungling is beyond anything I could imagine.

"INCONCEIVABLE " if I can borrow a quote from the Princess Bride
