Today we were taking it easy because it was hubby's birthday, so started off the day at SSBG for breakfast when the rain arrived. We had just finished eating when it started, so we stood under an umbrella for what felt like the longest time before it stopped. We took the opportunity to head back to the condo, and just got there when the deluge began again. It rained on and off until around 3 p.m. when it finally stopped, and we were able to go to the pool to soak up some rays. I've never seen it rain so hard and for so long. Hubby was monitoring the KLM flight, and it had to do a go-around because the pilot could not see the runway because of the rain. It did land 20 minutes later without incident. Tonight we went to Le Moulin Fou for a wonderful, albeit expensive, dinner ; we even had unexpected entertainment - two women got into a fight. Not sure what started it, but everyone in the place just stopped eating.

Sorry for the rain on your husband's birthday, but it's gotta rain sometime, I guess! I'm hoping you took some pictures of your dinner!!

2 women in a fight? If they were American then one found out the other was cheating on her with the husband. If they were French one wanted to know what was wrong with the husband if she didn't want to.

Even better is a old scanner with tower and approach channels programed.

I don't monitor the planes. Hubby does, he is a licensed pilot. He uses a hand-held aeronautical radio to monitor airport terminal and aircraft communications.

I think something happened when both ladies were using the washroom. Since I didn't witness anything, can't comment. But the end result was sure entertaining.
