Day 9
Today was an Orient beach day. We were on Waikiki by 9a. It was windy but very sunny until we were leaving at 3p. Water was refreshing when we needed a break from baking in the sun.
On the way home, we took the route through the Marigot waterfront too see if there were any changes since our last visit on 2012. Couldn't find Sarafina's but near where it should have been was a new bakery. We saw a gutted storefront with workers in it which we believe was Sarafina's. We continued our drive through Sandy Ground and stopped at Dreams in Nettle Bay. Bruno was not onsite so after a quick look around we departed.
Next stop was Porto Cupecoy. We parked and walked around. Saw Mario's new location as well as a new place coming soon, Shanghai Express. Hand written sign didn't indicate when, only "soon."
We ate dinner this evening at Moulin Foo. A first for us and it was delightful . Our friends reserved a table inside which was perfect as it was too noisy outside due to the nightly entertainment show at Cheri's.
Service was impeccable from arrival to finish. David had the seared duck and I had scallops and shrimp in a mild cream leek sauce served w cous-cous on the side and a puree of veggies and another small side of puréed purple potatoes.
The plate presentation on all 4 meals was well designed. It not only looked pretty but tasted very good. We had a lovely evening with friends who were already fans. Parking was so convenient once we decided on valet at the neighboring casino.
