Probably the best "sleeper" venue on JVD....Ali Babas in Great Harbour. Dinner at 7, make reservations!! BBQ "Pig Roast" (no pig) is well worth it. Outstanding Roti's too.

A blender full of Bushwackers at Harris's. Relaxing in the shade at One Love while the masses are down at Soggy Dollar. Trying to flip your bottle cap into the cup at B Line...

Jewel's Punch and fresh baked goods at the snack bar near Foxy's Taboo. The walk to the Bubbly Pool is fun whether or not the surf is up. We enjoy Sidney's in Little Harbor as well. We love catching Reuben Chinnery when he plays; we've seen him a couple of times at One Love. Roti at Gertrude's is my favorite lunch.

Enjoy the Soggy side of the beach in the morning before the dayboats show up, hang under the seagrape trees at Ivan's in the afternoon A Party Punch and burger from Jewel's new location over near Foxy's Taboo (and any of Myrtle's baked goods!) Swim, snorkel or paddle over to B-Line (or ask Darren at Taboo to call Glenn for a dinghy ride) Lobster quesadilla at One Love, chicken roti at Gertrudes, pizza from Pizza Dave @ Corsairs, definitely the breakfast sandwiches from Hilda! Sit at Corsairs with a voodoo punch and watch the world go by Visit with Foxy in the mornings Explore the cut between Jost and Little Jost via paddle board Night paddle in Great Harbor or Diamond Cay with underwater LED lights If you're certified, dive with JVD Scuba - if not, they also offer a "resort course" dive in shallow waters
And, if you're feeling really adventurous, rent a jeep and drive over the spine of the island. That's some serious off-roading right there, not for the faint of heart!
Relax, slow down, and take the time to get to know the wonderful people who live there!
Felix

I drove most of the spine in late October last year, with permission from the rental company. The car was fine. There is one largely impassable spot towards the east end that I did once in a 4WD Jimny, but probably wouldn't attempt again unless approaching from the east end - even then it's pretty challenging. You could go from White Bay to Great Harbor fairly easily though.

We have walked the spine from White Bay to Foxy's four times. It's quite a nice hike ... not for the faint of heart. Even with a 4WD I would be leery. There is one section that is VERY steep, rocky and washed out.

Ask Darren at Taboo to call Bonky or Glenn for you, they can pick you up in a dinghy and bring you over. On calm days we have also paddle boarded/snorkeled the shoreline all the way from the shore on the east side of Taboo to B Line, but it's a long way. The good news is that the return is usually a lot easier Felix

Here you go. Yea, we didn't walk down there on our last January trip, so I'm not sure if they're still operating. Good luck! BVI Sea and Land Adventure Tours (284)-541-2369 ; (340)626-8995
