We saw that it was closed when we went past on Monday, but forgot to post. According to that story, the one in Sandy Ground is to remain open, but it sure looked closed on Monday.

We will be arriving Friday the 10th...we stay in Grand Case and use to shop at Simply...can someone recommend where else we can pick up some things? Is the Super U in Marigot a good place? Will we go by it if we take the new bridge?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Yes, you will go by Super U if you take the causeway from the airport, going toward Orient. You can also go across the causeway and turn RIGHT, and Carrefour is a very short distance down to the right. As always, if you're coming directly from the airport, leave someone with the car when you shop!

There is Leader Price a little further along the road towards Orient, on the left hand side of the road. Haven't been there for a while so don't know what their stock is like.

We shopped at Leader Price this year in May. We noticed they now carry more items than 2 years ago. Great prices on wine, cheese and alcohol. Keep in mind some of their inventory is generic brands. Overall it was very convenient to pick up items so close to Orient Bay.

By the way, we talked to Bruno about this yesterday and he said that the owner of the Super U told Bruno that they will not reopen until September or October, as they are going to re-tile the floor and do a bunch of other improvements there. So, those traveling here in the next couple of months, for close to Orient, check out Petit Casino for a nice variety of fresh foods. Never been to Leader Price myself, so not sure about them.

Petit Casino is what you maybe used to as Tap5, in orient. However, now Bruno runs it, the stock is better and more varied. Huge step up from Tap5!

I thought the selection and prices we're pretty good for the convenience. When we were there in December they were giving 1:1. Haven't been following the exchange rate recently to know if they are still able to offer it.
