Is there any place in SXM to purchase live fresh lobster, possibly right off the boat?

I know I've seen lobsters crawling around the "sinks" in the Marigot market. Whether they were caught that morning or not, I can't say. They sell seafood there on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Yes there is a place, just as you;re in the circle at the
south end of the airport there is a large building with a
big red cross on it. My son purchased 4 3lb. lobsters last
year. Don't know the name of the place. Will be buying more
in a few weeks when we return. Good luck

PS....Forgot to mention, they were so big that I didn't have
a pot large enough to cook them in, so my son had to use
the BBQ grill. Onlookers offered to buy them!!!!

Better price at market. I thought the Lobster place by airport would have been less expansive, but it was not.
Don't know what the price is per pound, but a lot more than what you would pay for a lobster in the northeast. Still something special about eating local lobster in the islands.

Would be interested in knowing the cost per pound when you buy again. Thanks.

I believe Skip Jacks has a live lobster tank.

Cost last year for the 4 - 3Lb. lobsters was $150. 2 Years
ago when eating at Skip Jack's my son orgered a 3 lb. lobster
and it was $75.00. My granddaughter wanted a 1 lb. lobster and
they wouldn't sell it to us. Said the 1 lb. ones were for the
surf & turf. Will find out this year's prices soon enough...
