The restaurants that are closest are in Havensight: Tap and Still, Smoking Rooster, Pizza Amore, Barefoot Buddha, and in Yacht Haven Grande: Grande Cru, Fresh, Fat Turtle. You are fairly close to Frenchtown where there are a whole bunch of other restaurants.
Grocery stores: Pueblo in Long Bay, Gourmet Gallery in Havensight and Fruit Bowl for fresh produce.
While you aren't really "off the beaten path", unless you are on a boat like Evan <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" />, you will need a car.
One thing: September is a very quiet month. You may be the only people on some beaches, but you may find some restaurants and bars closed.
