If you have just been to the VI, the beaches in PR will be a let down, IMHO. On the other hand, time spent at El Convento in Old San Juan will make you think you have been transported to the old world. They have a great small rooftop pool,happy hour every night, and are within walking distance of a large number of great restaurants and bars. Try 311!
