Well so far we have no contact from Island. the house could be in rubbles and we have no clue. We have no choice buy in time to try and repair.. This is our property... If its massive destruction? not sure... But we do know, people that live on Island and have no place to run must endure this, People that had an income will not have any for a long time. vacationers can move on we can not...

I sure wish i had a magic wand i could wave and make this all go away for you. I cannot imagine being in your shoes...and how it must feel to be so helpless.

We thought about purchasing property in SXM...because we love it so much. But for us...it was not worth the risk of owning property in a foreign country that is also high risk for hurricane.

We then thought about purchasing a retirement home in Florida ...and once again decided it was not worth the risk.

You are much braver than we are...and i hope all the wonderful years of memories that you have of being an owner in SXM carries you through this terrible time of uncertainty and loss.

Please know that us "vacationers" are praying that your losses are minimal and that you can recover from this quickly.
