We've been doing ice cream all summer. My grand-daughter's favorite is pumpkin!

Pumpkin Ice Cream

2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ginger
1 c. milk
1 1/2 c. heavy cream
dash ground cloves
3/4 c. canned pumpkin

Beat egg and sugar together until thick and cream-colored. Add spices, milk, cream, and pumpkin and blend well. Pour into ice cream maker and crank for 20 minutes (mine is a Donvier, so it says to crank every 2-3 minutes). At that point, it's soft serve. If you want it harder, freeze longer. Makes 1 quart.
