Some people get upto 6 months consecutively per year. They would give me only 30 days and if I wanted to stay longer I’d have to go immigration in town to ask for an extension or leave the BVI and return. Going into town for an extension can take the better part of the day. Also immigration doesn’t allow you to read a book while waiting.
