It reads that Foxy adopted a 50+ year old man (David Deitrich) and signed over the land to him. Am I missing something? This sounds too bizarre.

That is what I thought when I read it. Seems we met him a few years back while trying to coordinate a snorkel trip with him while staying on Jost. This is all truly bizarre if what Dean says is true.
