Will probably fly bigs on Alaska to JFK and spend the night at TWA and then down on JB. Still searching for a better option but coach sucks and if at all possible I try to limit my time in those seats.

I just got a return in early December for $597. Going down in late October, I paid $970 several weeks ago, which I thought was bad until I checked a couple of days ago and saw the $1,200 you are seeing. But with RT being in the $1,9xx - $2,2xx range, it could be worse. Overnights involved both ways.
