I believe that also means it could take a similar amount of time for you to test positive, from the date of exposure. The PCR test is better than nothing, but all it proves is that you are negative at that moment in time.. I don't know all of the medical facts (even the doctors don't), but I do know that you don't have to exhibit symptoms to test positive. Regardless, I know that I'm doing everything that I can do to avoid getting sick, short of never leaving my house. If tourists don't return to the island, its economy will die a slow and painful death, and that's a fact.
