A humorous thing happened when we did the hike. At the base most everybody was tying on expensive hiking boots, tennis shoes and the like. Also putting on camel back water containers in preparation of the hike. Along comes a lady from Europe, (not sure which country as I could not understand the language), dressed in flowing sun dress and wearing flip flops like she was on a Sunday stroll in the park. She reached the top before many of the more "prepared hikers". Made for quite a contrast. Enjoy the view and the rest of your visit.
