The details are in this official article. It is sad for the people of the BVI that it has come to this; over 5% of the population is currently infected - as a comparison, just imagine what it would be like to have 3x as many active cases in the USA right now! It seems that contact tracing is no longer considered useful with the community spread going on. Politicians who were previously against vaccination have now changed their tune and hopefully the BVI can get to grips with this outbreak without having to go into another strict lockdown. The press is already rife with speculation about this outbreak and some are trying to put the blame on illegals from the USA or on tourists. Here in Cane Garden Bay the anchorage is surprisingly full of boats tonight, only one other mono that I can see and a few powercats between all of the big catamarans. There was a lot of movement all day, but at 19:00 it all stopped as the mariners are adhering to the curfew. And I guess some are discovering that their galley isn't as well-stocked for cooking utensils and foods as they'd thought
