We were at Shangri La about 5 years ago. Had planned on staying there 3 nights. Got there early afternoon, checked in, but our assigned room was not ready. We parked our bags in the assigned room, disrobed and went for a swim in the pool. Came back to the room, and found it infested with common house flies. With no onsite restaurant, we drove to the nearest restaurant about 45 min away. Had a nice dinner, and came back to our room. The flies must have multiplied while we were dining. The next morning, the flies were still there. We decided to cut short our stay and left as soon as we could. Never again. If there is a next time, we will try Mira Vista.
