We stay on the Dutch side , and do visit the French side for a few dinners and some beaching. It all depends on weather, beach conditions and how brave (me) <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" /> (and tired) we are to drive at night. We did stay on the French side on our first trip in the 80's.
