I don't know that you want to sit there that long, but you could pay to use the Souliga Lounge at the airport. It is about $20 a person and includes light snacks, like meatballs and chicken wings, and soft drinks and wine (but not liquor or beer). They have TVs and internet. He could sit there in the lounge and you could do some shopping if you wanted to, as you can go in and out. If you're talking somewhere on the beach (although I'm not sure whether that's the definition of 'restful' or not), Karakter does have showers and internet and they will keep your carry on bags for you, but it is apt to be crowded there. As far as a hotel that would do a day pass, that I don't know. You might try calling Mary's Boon, or somewhere like that.
